If you're looking for the entrepreneurial spirit, head west. A study discovered that people from Utah, Colorado, and Montana are most likely to be entrepreneurs. Why? The pioneers that settled in the west had that kind of personality and passed it down. So if you're from, let's say, Michigan... what can you do? Easy -- surround yourself with tough, driven personalities. Research shows you're most likely to become the people you hang with most.
Here's the perfect Father's Day gift for dads-to-be in Buenos Aires: a "pregnancy belt" that lets expectant fathers feel their babies kicking in real time. The belt, developed by Huggies Argentina, looks like a typical fake pregnancy belly — but it replicates a baby's kicks from mom's belly to dad's belly. The belt is synched with an accompanying belt worn by the mother.

If you’re a manager, make sure you are on your workers at 2:55 PM today. That time has been confirmed as the least productive time of day. LondonOffices.com questioned more than 400 workers to find what they consider to be the least productive time in their work day. According to researchers, 2:55 PM was clear winner, theorizing that it's right about the time folks hit an after-lunch lull and start setting aside work for Facebook and Twitter. Other respondents said that 2:55 PM was about the time they started thinking about what they wanted to do that evening.
For one day, the Brazilian fast food restaurant chain Spoleto let any woman who sees herself as beautiful eat for free. The restaurant told every female customer she didn't have to pay for her meal as long as she could affirmatively answer the question, "Are you beautiful?" The customers were handed mirrors by cashiers who hoped every woman would admit to her beauty — serving as a self-esteem booster for the day.
Left handed dogs are more likely to be aggressive to strangers than those that are right-pawed. Australian researchers tested a group of dogs to see which paw they preferred to use for basic tasks and then analyzed their behavioral traits. They found while there was no link with levels of excitability or attention seeking, the animals which were 'left-pawed' were much more likely to act aggressively towards people they did not know.

“Unfortunately, because of equipment failure, we lost all the gerbils.” That was the announcement from the Russian space program about one of their satellites recently returned to Earth which also carried various microorganisms, plants, crayfish, snails, geckos, and mice in an attempt to better understand the effects of microgravity on life in space. Happily, the geckos returned alive, though more than half of the mice and all of the gerbils gave their lives in the name of science during the course of the month-long orbit. This was the longest animals-in-space study of its kind.
